We have helped to establish the post-harvest raw product material (RPM) processing divisions. Including all trim and packaging operations. For one of the largest licensed facilities in the U.S. at that time. (320,000 sq.ft. greenhouse with a production target of 120 lbs. per day).
Clean Room
And have implemented and headed up all post-harvest processes for several farms around the world. For thousands of square feet. Responsibilities including dry room design, processes, labor models, record keeping, SOP development, packaging/compliance and implementation.
Proper room designs (like Clean Room) allow the plants to move through different climate zones over a set period, ensuring that the transpiration rates remain constant regardless of the moisture content of the plant material. Without adequate control, these areas can become high humidity areas that can cause harmful pathogens to proliferate in the plant material. The clean room design takes into consideration the hourly evaporation rates of plants at a given temperature and humidity.
Determining how to store or process your crop is without a doubt a skill set by itself. You will only find a hand-full of people in this industry that love this plant, have lived with this plant their whole lives. And that are truly all round educated or specialists in their field. Knowing exactly which type of plants needs what attention and care.
Growing a beautiful crop/product is one thing. But all hope can be simply destroyed with impatience or improper handling and curing of your Cannabis. Resulting in your beautiful herb smelling like a pile of freshly cut hay-bales. Your THC results diminishing. Or worst of all, your harvest rotting away from the inside out. You’ll never know what hit you. Until you hard work does not pass the tests in compliance with the (medicinal) standards.
